# Weghorst still dreams of being bought by MU

Wout Weghorst insists United still see him as a valuable asset and no one has yet announced that the team will not buy him next summer. There are many rumors that Man United will not buy Wout Weghorst outright from Burnley. The Dutch player has only contributed 2 goals in 27 appearances for MU. Currently, "Red Devils" are trying to find a new striker in the summer. However, Weghorst still believes that he will be retained by MU.

Weghorst Weghorst still dreams of being bought by MU When asked by The Times about his future, Weghorst replied: "During discussions with the club, they said they were very pleased with me. No one has yet said that United want to continue without me. They appreciate my worth. They believed that I was an asset to the team. Of course I've heard other things from the media. I have to wait and see what happens. Now I'm just focused on our goals in the Premier League and cup competitions."

One of the problems with Weghorst was that manager Ten Hag used him in a variety of positions at Old Trafford.

“I am a person who loves to play football. When appearances have dropped in recent times, you realize you're missing something. If the club wants to keep me, I need to know the role and the plan they have for me."

Weghorst won the Carabao Cup with Man United. If MU chooses to recruit a quality striker next summer, it will be difficult for Weghorst to have a place at Old Trafford.
